1.Properties :

1).It is a white or yellowish powder which is odorless, tasteless, easy for flow. It can dissolve in hot water, but also cold water, can’t easily dissolve in organic solvent, In general, almost organic solutions, dissolve in the scale of pH 2-12, their viscosity change is seldom.But once over this scale, their viscosity will reduce.Through surface treatment, in cold water, HEC will disperse, but not coagula, but its solution speed is slower. Generally need about 33min. Heat it or adjust pH value to 8-10, it will rapidly dissolve

2).With non-ionic characteristic it can coexist with other water-soluble polymer, surfactant, salt in a wide range. It is a fine colloidal thickener for high concentration electrolyte solution; its water retention capacity is twice than methyl cellulose, and has good flow adjustability.

As a non-ionic surfactant, with thickening,bonding, suspension, adhesion, floating, film-forming, dispersing, water retention and protecting colloid properties,so it is widely used in the polymerization and copolymerization of synthetic resin, synthesizing of latex, preparation of water-based latex paint, preparation and synthesizing of binder, fabric processing, oil drilling, construction & building materials, daily chemical products , paper making, coating,ink chemical and so on..
